The Jabsco HotShot HD5 Washdown Pump Kit puts 70 PSI behind your deck wash, enough to blast off fish blood, anchor mud, and dried salt. It flows 5 GPM on 12V, and the kit includes a 25-foot HoseCoil hose with a trigger nozzle. The pump has a heavy-duty motor with a powder-coated shell, a co-molded diaphragm, and a sealed pressure switch, so it runs only when you squeeze the nozzle.
With the hose and nozzle included, the kit makes it easy to add a washdown to a boat that does not have one. Many anglers plumb the pump to a through-hull with a seacock and strainer to use raw water, which saves the freshwater tank for drinking and showers. The pump self-primes and can run dry without damage.
Install a strainer on the inlet and keep the supply plumbing unrestricted to hold full pressure. Flush the pump with fresh water after using it in salt. For a little more flow, the HD6 is also in our bilge and water pumps.
