The Fireboy-Xintex Manual Discharge Cable Kit is a 16 foot cable for manually activating MA and GA Series fire suppression systems.
An automatic system discharges when heat reaches a set point, and that is the right behavior most of the time. A manual cable gives the option of discharging sooner, when a fire is seen rather than when it is hot enough to trigger. Minutes matter in an engine compartment fire, and a person who can see smoke knows before a thermal trigger does.
Sixteen feet is the longer of the two kits, for a run from an engine room to a helm on a larger boat where the shorter cable will not reach. Cable routing should be as direct as possible, since every bend adds friction and a manual pull has to work first time under stress. Explore more fire suppression and engine safety.
