The Faria Beede Platinum 4″ 60 MPH GPS Speedometer is a GPS speedometer reading to 60 MPH, built as a drop-in replacement for your current speedometer. It gets its data from an internal 48-channel GPS receiver, so no external antenna is needed. That removes the pitot tube and paddle wheel, which tend to fail over time.
Satellite acquisition takes about 1 second from a hot start. Speed is accurate to plus or minus 1 MPH and heading to plus or minus 1 degree, with the pointer driven by a digital stepper motor. It’s a strong choice on slow-moving boats, where pitot speedometers often don’t register at all.
It fits a 3.375 inch (85 mm) panel hole and uses Deutsch connectors. Platinum series styling gives it a spun aluminum dial, a polished stainless steel bezel, blue LED perimeter lighting, a backlit fire-orange tip pointer and Faria’s domed glass fog-resistant lens, which sheds condensation and resists scratching. The factory part number is SGP128, and it is sold individually without a gauge cover. Browse more marine gauges.
